Mt Evelyn Recreation Camp is located at the end of Tramway Road, Mt Evelyn. The Melways reference for Mt Evelyn Recreation Camp is Map 120 C 4.
Local Attractions
Mt Evelyn Recreation Camp is within easy reach of a multitude of local attractions. You can chose from Puffing Billy, Healesville Sanctuary, Dandenong Lookout, Emerald Lake Park, The National Rhododendron Gardens, William Ricketts Sanctuary, Silvan Reservoir and the art and craft shops dotted around the mountain.
Rates
The per person cost of a camp will vary depending on how many nights, meals and activities are to be provided during your stay. The minimum group size is 50 campers. Only one group is on site at any one time.
What to Bring
Sleeping bag or sheets and blankets, pillow, towel, beach towel and bathers, personal toiletries including sunscreen, shorts, t-shirts, windcheater, tracksuit pants, warm jumper, waterproof jacket, sleep wear, hat, camera.

Catering
We offer full catering and groups are given the option to choose their own meals from an extensive menu [ sample menu ]. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for.
Access and Parking
There is good access to the camp terminating at the main car park. The car park is suitable for 45 cars in total and we encourage groups to car pool whenever possible. Buses are able to turn in the car park area.
Security
To ensure your security and safety we have a duty manager on call 24 hours a day during your stay. The duty managers' residence is located on the main driveway access into the camp. We recommend that you leave valuables at home.
Safety
It is the responsibility of each group to ensure that campers understand and follow the campsite's general rules [ general rules ]. Each group must have a competent leader in charge to liaise with campsite staff. The YMCA recommends a ratio of one leader to ten campers. Groups are responsible for their own first aid.
