Accommodation and Facilities

Anglesea Recreation Camp offers a fantastic range of flexible accommodation options. You can choose between indoor cabin-style lodgings (suitable for up to 150 people) or make use of our accessible outdoor tent camping facilities so you can sleep to the sound of the waves.

Accommodation blocks

Our three modern accommodation blocks have central heating, comfortable bunk-bed style bedrooms and wheelchair-accessible showers and toilets.

Accommodation blocks can be booked separately for smaller groups, or combined to accommodate larger groups. Each room sleeps between two to six people.

Addis & Bells

Our Addis & Bells accommodation block is nestled in the cosy comfort of fragrant gum trees and sleeps up to 64 people.

With a duplicate floor plan, the block offers:

  • Two rooms for two people (with en-suite)

  • Four rooms for four people

  • Two rooms for six people

  • Teachers/leaders rooms (with en-suite)

  • Centrally located amenities.

Jarosite

The Jarosite accommodation block sits next door to Addis & Bells amongst the gum trees and sleeps up to 48 people.

This block offers:

  • Two rooms for two people (one with en-suite)

  • Eight rooms for four people (two rooms share an en-suite)

  • Two rooms for six people

  • Teachers/leaders rooms (with en-suite)

  • Centrally located amenities.

Seasider

The Seasider accommodation block sits on the high side of the camp and offers a sneaky glimpse of the ocean.

Ideal for smaller groups, the Seasider comfortably sleeps up to 36 people and boasts a timber walkway that connects six individual cabins as well as two additional rooms.

This accommodation block also features:

  • Six rooms for four people (with en-suites)

  • Two rooms for six people with shared bathroom

  • One cabin with wheelchair access

  • A meeting/dining/lounge room with adjacent accessible bathrooms.

Tent camping facilities

We offer a unique tent program option that gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the experience of camping under the stars. Tent camping can be arranged on-site for those experiencing camping for the first time, or offsite at nearby Eumeralla Scout Camp, only a short walk from our camp.

Facilities

Anglesea Recreation Camp offers an extensive range of outdoor, indoor and conference facilities designed to make your stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

From our spacious timber-floored sports stadium to our native nature trails, our facilities provide a first-rate camping experience. 

Outdoor facilities

During your stay with us, you can access to a number of adventure and challenge activities as well as a wide-range of fun outdoor leisure facilities including:

  • Basketball and volleyball courts

  • Grassed sporting areas

  • A giant chessboard and Ga-ga pit (an Israeli game similar to dodge ball)

  • A campfire site

  • Nature trails and an Indigenous interpretative trail.

Indoor facilities

Should you be faced with a rainy day, you can access a range of indoor facilities suitable for all types of groups including our:   

  • Sports stadium

  • Indoor soccer nets

  • Table tennis/poly pong table facilities

  • Environmental programs. 

Conference facilities

We offer a comfortable environment that caters to all your professional needs. Our conference facilities are suitable for short meetings or even day-long conferences, with several different room options available.

Facilities include:

  • Two projector screens (one wall mounted, one portable)

  • Two white boards (one wall mounted, one portable)

  • A data projector

  • A TV, DVD player, piano and CD player can also be provided upon request.

During breaks in programs or free time, guests can use our outdoor and indoor recreation facilities.

Parking, supervision, activities and safety

  • Onsite parking is available for up to 40 cars (or one or two buses with overflow parking areas available).

  • We have a Duty Manager on call 24-hours a day. However, we recommend that you have one leader to every ten individuals in your group.

  • Groups can book YMCA-led activities for an additional cost. Please see the activities page for more information. 

  • While our camp is a safe and respectful place, we recommend you leave valuables at home.
