Meet Matt – Manager at Lady Northcote
Matt joined the Y in April 2026. He brings many years of experience in remote and camp-based operations, with a strong background in challenging and diverse environments.
He’s worked with the Department of Defence across Army and RAAF camps, in the oil and gas sector offshore in Bass Strait, and in remote camps in Papua New Guinea.
What Matt enjoys most about Lady Northcote Discovery Camp is the people. His favourite quote is “Hard times don’t last forever – people do.” This shows the importance of resilience and perseverance. It's the belief that even in tough times, strength and determination will see you through.
Outside of work, Matt’s time in Papua New Guinea sparked a passion for rugby. While he currently follows the Melbourne Storm, he will switch loyalties when the PNG Chiefs join the NRL!
