Mt Evelyn Recreation Camp also offers activities that your group can lead safely and independently.
Silvan Dam is directly accessible from the camp and provides various scenic opportunities for walking. Participants can explore the aqueduct system and enjoy the natural setting.
Working with a partner, participants wander the camp trusting only certain senses to get around.
A team challenge based around a vital resource…water! This short activity can be combined with other activities and involves groups working together to carry water around the campsite trying not to spill it!
This activity tests observation skills. Using photos of the camp, participants explore the camp and try and find where photos are taken.
Participants gather around the campfire and learn all about cooking safely in the bush. On the menu? Delicious damper, tasty toasted marshmallows and beautifully brewed bush tea.
This activity encourages participants to get a little creative and have fun! We offer bandanna making, bush collage, t-shirt design, and painting.
In a team environment, participants learn how to read maps and develop their compass skills. Participants have to find 15 marks and solve puzzles.
