Not only for the day, Phillip Island Coastal Discovery Camp can also bring life to your night camping experience with activities conducted when the sun goes down.
See the world famous ‘Penguin Parade’ as wild Little Penguins waddle home each night out of the surf and through the sand dunes to their burrows.
Ranger talks at camp
Local rangers visit the camp and discuss a wide range of topics from indigenous heritage, local wildlife and stories of our Southern Seas.
Our secluded campout area is situated among the tea trees, only 100 metres from the main camp. Participants learn about tents, environmental practices, and campfire safety.
Campfire and night walk
Participants go on a night walk to try and spot night wildlife. The activity finishes with everyone toasting marshmallows and telling scary stories by the campfire.
Possess a freaky accurate knowledge of the Simpsons? Or know how many medals Australia won in the last Olympics? Groups are welcome to organise their own trivia night and let everyone’s weird and wacky knowledge shine!
Our concerts are a time of fun, laughter and friendship and are traditionally held on the last night of camp. Participants are encouraged to perform skits, tell jokes, sing songs and discover the hidden talents of their friends!
